M. Ost Holistic Pelvic Care
Clio is a general practice osteopath, treating a wide variety of patients from athletes to office workers and from newborns to the elderly. She has a particular interest in women’s health and in treating women around pregnancy and birth.
She graduated in osteopathy and naturopathy with distinction from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine. Clio is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and a member of the Institute of Osteopathy.
She has completed further training in Holistic Pelvic CareTM as taught by women’s health physiotherapist Tami Lynn Kent. Holistic Pelvic CareTM involves gentle internal massage of the pelvic floor muscles and fascia alongside attending to emotional holding patterns in the pelvic bowl using dialogue, visualisation, breath-work and abdominal contact.
Treatments help re-balance the pelvic floor and increase blood flow to pelvic organs, which can improve problematic symptoms. Clio has a background in contemporary dance and capoeira, and is also a trained yoga teacher, all of which she draws on to tailor her movement and exercise prescriptions for health, injury and postural rehabilitation. Advice on nutrition and lifestyle is also offered where needed to support health and well-being.
Clio offers postpartum check ups for mothers. Her training in Holistic Pelvic Care™ combined with her studies in Obstetric Osteopathy at the Molinari Institute has enabled her to develop tailored and integrated approach to prenatal care for women.
