Barbara has always been fascinated by the workings of the human body and how both emotional and physical trauma can impact its healthy functioning. Following a rich and varied career in education, publishing and business management, Barbara decided to follow her passion for understanding health and balance which took her on extensive travels across Asia where she experienced first-hand the benefits of ancient healing arts such as yoga, tai chi, meditation, Ayurvedic medicine and Acupuncture.
She went on to train at the renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, UK, where she was taught and mentored by some of the leading Acupuncturists in Europe graduating with a BSc honours degree and Licentiate of Acupuncture.
Barbara practices an integrated style of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element Acupuncture which allows her to address a wide range of conditions from anxiety, stress, insomnia and migraines to infertility, musculo-skeletal pain, digestive and hormonal issues, whilst also promoting well-being and balance at a deeper constitutional level. Bringing a genuine, kind, compassionate and professional nature to her treatments, Barbara is committed to supporting her patients on their way to better health, vitality and peace of mind.
Barbara is a fully registered and insured member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and thereby adheres to strict Codes of Safe Practice & Professional Conduct ensuring the highest standard of care for her patients.
